Richard Allen Liberatori, 75, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in Alpine Fireside. He was born in Rockford on October 15, 1948, the Son of Harry & Josephine (Cecchinelli) Liberatori. Richard was a graduate of Boylan High School. He worked for the Burger King restaurant chain for many years and managed several stores in the upper Illinois region. He eventually worked in the tool and Die manufacturing Industry. Richard was employed by Greenley Tool, Patterson Gear, and Custom Gear.

He traveled extensively for his employers and spent many years on the road working in Huntsville Alabama, Hermosillo Mexico, Detroit Michigan & Windsor Canada. Richard enjoyed fishing, playing cards, Bocce at the Venetian Club, and most of all spending time with his Family & Friends.

Survivors include his sister Kathleen Castronovo, sons Jason & David, 2 grandchildren, Nephew Greg (Lynette Castronovo, niece Kimberly (Bill) Flynn, great nieces Jessica (Kris) Price, Kate Corl & Megan (Brian) Fosberg. Richard is predeceased by his parents and sister Beverly Liberatori.

Funeral Service at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Grace Funeral Chapel 4301 North Main Street, Rockford, IL with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 am until time-of-service Wednesday in the funeral home. Arrangements completed by Tony Gasparini Funerals.
