Obituary For Bernadette Booth

Bernadette Booth, 69, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 24, 1949, in Rockford to the late Santo and Catherine Gagliano. She married Orville Booth on June 13, 1969, in Rockford. Bernadette graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School in 1967. She worked for Rockford Health System for 27 years.

A loving wife and mother, Bernadette was happiest spending time with family and friends. She especially loved her role as Nana. She never missed an event and always found the time to visit and support others in need. Bernadette loved to love on people and she had a heart of gold. She had an infectious laugh, no filter when speaking her mind, and was the last person in the room to get a joke! Bernadette was a talented athlete who competed in many sports in high school and loved to play slow-pitch softball with her sisters and friends. She even got the chance to see the Cubs win a World Series!

Survivors include her husband Orville; four children, Anthony (Linda), Jeff (Crystal), Gina (Matthew) White and Sean (Lexi); stepdaughters, Pam (Jay) Nelson and Cindy (Phil) Fillweber; grandchildren, Courtney, Ron, Shain, Jessica, Brittney, Jeff Jr., Noah, Carter, Everly, Abilene, Dawn, Sara, Gina, Paul, Phoebe, and Erica; sisters, Rosemary (Craig) Finnicum, Mary Debra (Joe) Kleczkowski and Jackie Chemello.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am Friday, July 26, 2019, in St. Bernadette Catholic Church 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 4 pm until 7 pm Thursday in Tony Gasparini Funeral Chapels 6825 Weaver Road, Rockford with rosary at 7 pm. Visitation also from 9 am until 9:45 am Friday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
