Carl Raymond Scandroli, 76, of Rockford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 10, 2022. He was born June 10, 1946, in Rockford, the son of Raymond and Pietrina (Salamone) Scandroli. Carl graduated from Boylan High School class of 64’ and Saint Ambrose University. He was a bricklayer and member of Bricklayers Local #6 until he and his brother took over Scandroli Construction Company in 1976. He retired after 40 years as Vice President. Carl was a proud member of the St. Ambrogio Society, Lombardi, Venetian, and Verdi Clubs. He was an avid sports fan and was always up for a good conversation about the latest game. The Colts and the Bears were two of his favorite teams. He enjoyed attending many games with family and friends. Carl was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He looked forward to Sunday Mass and breakfast with his cousin Gina Schneeberger.

Survivors include his brother, Joseph (Carolyn) Scandroli, nieces and nephews, Patrice Scandroli, Rae Ann (David) Herman, Joseph (Michelle) Scandroli and Anthony (Lynn) Scandroli, great nieces and nephews, Penelope, Eleanor, and Josephine Herman, Luca and Melina Scandroli, Michael (Amanda) and Logan Johnson, Owen, Wyatt and Isaac Scandroli. Numerous special cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents and stepson, Kelly Childs.

Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation is also from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday in the church.
