Obituary For Cheryl Ann Dawson-Adkins

Cheryl Ann Dawson-Adkins 47 of Rockford passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 4, 2021. She was born May 31, 1973, in Rockford the daughter of David Dawson and Mary Kleczkowski. Cheryl attended Boylan High School and worked for many years at Insight Communications. Cheryl loved her children and family dearly. She loved getting together with her large family for Sunday dinners. She also enjoyed dancing, gymnastics, and playing softball. Cheryl had a kind, loving, and giving heart. Cheryl's strong faith in the Lord guided her through the most difficult times in her life. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten, Heaven has gained another angel. Survivors include her children, Justin Dawson (Grandson, Dominic Dawson) Alexis Erickson, Chloe Verni-Lau, and Gracie Rose Dawson. Her husband, Daryl Adkins. Mother, Mary (Joe) Kleczkowski. Siblings, Christina (Joe Cason) Dawson, Shiela (Matt) Erickson, Jamie (Holly) Dawson, Tim (Tracey) Dawson, and Daniel Dawson. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her Father, David, and Brother, David Jr., Grandparents, and Aunt.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Tuesday, March 16 in St Bridget Church, Loves Park. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 4 pm until 7 pm in Tony Gasparini Chapel 6825 Weaver Road Rockford, 61114 with rosary at 6:45. Please adhere to covid restrictions for visitation and Mass.     Cheryl and I were friends through grade school and highschool. I will miss your outgoing personality. Thank you for being my friend and reminding me family and friends are the most important. You had a heart of gold and we are all going miss that. I loved running around with you when we were young. I wish I could have seen you again. Rest in peace my dear friend.
