Greg Italis, 59, of Rockford passed away on May 3, 2021, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on February 12, 1962, to Tony and Mary Ellen Italis. He attended St. Francis Consolidated School and graduated from Boylan High School, Class of 1980. Greg enjoyed his life to the fullest. He loved to fly planes and go scuba diving. He enjoyed listening to music, drawing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Greg is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen, sisters Christine (Manuel) Renteria, and Cindy (Dan) Miller. He is also survived by his children, Kristin, and Kyle. Nephews, Austin Howard, and Max Miller. Godmother, Donna Tartaglia. He is predeceased by his father, Tony Italis, grandparents, and Godfather, Ed Sautel. Special thanks to Dr. Todd Alexander, Mercy Hospice Care, and the staff at Blue Jay Wing at River Bluff Nursing Home.

Services will be private with a Mass at a later date.
