James “Mike” Hough, 57, of Loves Park, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at Mercy Health Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born February 12, 1960 in Fort Meyers, Florida, the son of Sonny and Shirley Hough. He worked as a truck driver for DB Metal Inc. (2006 – 2009) and Martin Transportation Services (2010 – 2017)and he also worked at G and D Integrated. Mike was a devoted father who put his children first. He lived out his values through modesty, respect, and hard work. His passion for music survives in his children, who will pass down Mike’s songs and stories for generations to come.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Hayden of Milwaukee and Shane of Loves Park; parents, Sonny and Shirley; siblings, Angela (Tim) Barrett, Sonya (Al) Onken, Alice (David Castegnaro) Salamone, Don (Laurie). A special Thank You to the entire Gibbons family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Christ United Methodist Church, 4509 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, with Pastor Scott Himel. Visitation from 2:00- 3:00 p.m in the Church. Memorials may be made to the family. Send online condolences TonyGasparinifunerals.com
