Obituary for MarShelle Marie (Peterson) Jacobs

MarShelle Marie (Peterson) Jacobs, 66, of Rockford passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born July 11, 1952 in Rockford, the daughter of Sheldon and Marjorie (Anderson) Peterson. She attended Peterson Elementary and graduated from East High School. MarShelle received both her BFA and an MBA in Finance from North Park University in Chicago. She married Tom Jacobs on June 7, 1986 in North Park Evangelical Covenant Church in Chicago. She worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Kraft Foods in Glenview, IL for 31 years. She continued working with her Online stores, selling repurposed vintage artwork on greeting cards. MarShelle was a firm believer in the love of Christ. She did not fear death, knowing life everlasting was her eternal gift from a most loving God.

Survivors include her Husband, Tom. Three siblings, Stewart (Mary) Peterson of Rockford, Sallee Bryant and Merrilee Meyers both of Cocoa, Florida. Nieces and nephews, Monica (Kristoffer) Knapp, Nathan Bryant, Steven Peterson, Rachel Peterson, Nikkoll (Matt) Wilkens and Nikolas Meyers. Great nieces and nephews, Lincoln, Carter and Charlotte. And her feline friends, Nimrod, Jacob, Tiger Boy, Sarah, Della and Sheba. Predeceased by her parents and infant sister, Susan Kay Peterson.

Funeral Services at 11am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Tony Gasparini Funeral Chapel, 6825 Weaver Road Rockford, IL 61114. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 9am until service time Saturday in the funeral home. Express online condolences at
