Oh, I was so sad to hear this and told many musicians whom I saw tonight. Mike was such a nice man and a good friend of my later father, bassist Val Eddy. I hadn't seen him in some time but he always made a point to talk to me at St. Ambrogio Club and tell me how much he admired my father and how he knew him well. My deepest condolences to the family. We have lost yet another great entertainer/bassist of Italian descent from south Rockford in just a month....may God give you all peace and may Mike be singing praise and all that jazz in Heaven. God bless you all.
