Obituary For Ralph E. Tarro

Ralph E. Tarro, 65 of Rockford, IL passed away after a sudden illness on July 31, 2017. Ralph was born on February 11, 1952 in Rockford, the youngest son of Frank and Clara (Faggiotti) Tarro. He was a graduate of Auburn High School and earned his Associates Degree at Rock Valley College. Ralph worked as a Quality Control Manager at North Healthcare in Rockford for 27 years and was currently employed at the Rockford Woman's Club. He enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews on birthdays and holidays and was thought of as the real-life "Santa Claus". He loved hosting parties and catering to his guest's every whim. His famous cheesy potatoes, mandarin orange and strawberry salads, and the best homemade cannoli's ever were staples at the holidays. He was always the first one up from the table, doing the dishes for whomever was hosting one of these gatherings. Ralph's greatest strength was his kind and generous nature towards anyone (or dog) that knew him. The selfless nature he represented was an example we can only hope to replicate in our own lives. Ralph is predeceased by his parents Frank and Clara, brother-in-law Bob Bianchi, great nephew Nathan, best friend Ken Bruning, canine companions Bucko, Dudley, Bogey, and Lexie. His current dog, Chachi, passed away the day after leaving his side. Survivors include sister Bev Bianchi, brother Wayne Tarro, aunt Gloria Kordash, nephews Steve Bianchi and Frank Tarro, nieces Paula Bianchi and Gina Tarro, great nephew Nick Bianchi, great nieces Stephanie Thomas and Chloe Mosher, several great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins and dear friends. As the most humble son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Ralph will be dearly missed and his memory forever in our hearts.

I worked with Ralph at North Health Care ....I was his boss and he was mine. Best of all we were friends ! His gentle caring ways were evident as was his fun sense of humor and sense of right and wrong ! We visited just a few weeks ago and I enjoyed those same traits again as we stood in Walmart and talked ! Our loss -----heavens gain. Our sympathy to the family. Yes, we often heard a little about many of you----especially the nephews !
