Alfred “Al” L. Baney of Rockford passed away Tuesday February 12, 2019 in his home. He was born August 8, 1945 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Lavern and Juanita Baney. He married Patricia Block in Rockford on February 27, 1965. Al owned Baney Auto Sales and The Body Shop for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR and racing at the Rockford Speedway.

Survivors include his wife, Pat. Children, Michelle Tarlton of Phoenix, AZ and Michael (Jennifer) of Rockford. Grandchildren, Shay (Kayla Lundy) Tarlton, Sidnee Tarlton and Michael Baney. Sisters, Jean (Arley) Blake of Durand and Anita Baney of Rockford. Predeceased by his parents, Daughter, Lisa. Grandson, Cole Tarlton. Siblings, Larry Baney and Linda Veich.

Memorial Service at 4pm Sunday February 17, 2019 in Tony Gasparini Funerals 6825 Weaver Road 61114. Memorial Visitation from 2 until 3:45 Sunday in the funeral home.
