Barbara Jean Michaels, 89, of Rockford passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, in her home. Barbara was born February 17, 1934, in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Leo and Nellie Michaels. She went to school in Pena, coming to Rockford in 1968. She worked for Barber Coleman for many years and the City of Rockford as an assistant to the Building Inspector.

Survivors include three children, Jeanette Reinhold, Joyce (Leon) Lighthart, and John (Mary) Davis. Grandchildren, Scott, Todd, Keith, Jared, Nathan, Seth, Marc, Megan, and Dan. Numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her son, Jeff.
