Obituary For Bradley Charles Lofgren

Bradley Charles Lofgren, 72, of Cherry Valley passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 27, 1951, in Rockford, the son of Curt and Phyllis Lofgren. He graduated from East High School. He married Barb Buck on June 10, 1972, in Cherry Valley. He worked as an Auto Transporter, at Teamster Local 325, and worked for Cassens Transportation for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Barb. His Children, Carrie (Jeff) Mizner, and Nolan (Jennifer) Lofgren. Grandchildren, Kelsey (Gus) Eisele, Alyssa (Nolan) McNames, Mylee and Nolan Jr. Great Grandchild, Kenley. Brothers, Curt (Kath), Terry (Krisan), and Mark (Jolene). Sister, Carole (Ed) Kistler. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and sister, LuAnne Lofgren.

Brad had three passions in life: his family, baseball, and his Saint Bernards. You would always find Brad in a Mariners or Royals hat and shirt. Brad was a lifelong player, coach, and mentor. He touched the lives of people around the country.

As much as he loved the game, his true love was his family. He was a devoted husband to his junior high school sweetheart of 52 years, Barb. Whether it was short trips to Davis Junction, or extended trips to Florida, Brad was always happiest with his family. Brad was at his best when he was with his four grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and foster care great-grandchildren. There was never a dull moment when Brad was with his family.

While his absence leaves a hole in our hearts, his legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will continue to guide us. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Michalsen, Dr. Korkmaz, and Dr. Hiser for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Brad‘s life will be held Friday, November 29 from 12 to 4 at the Verdi Club: 782 North Madison St. in Rockford. Arrangement by Tony Gasparini Funerals.
