Obituary For Dolores Ann Siwak

Dolores Ann Siwak, 88, of Wonder Lake, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1934, in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Anna Horka Jr. Loving wife of Thomas J. Siwak for 47 years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Linda (Brian) Michalski and Carol (John) Stoesslein. Grandchildren, Alissa (Beau) Church, Jennifer Michalski, Coleman Pashegoba, and Vic Pashegoba. Great grandchildren, Lily, Evie, Thomas, and Raynie. Loving sister, Arlene Lord. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Thomas, and brother Philip Horka.

Dolores started her career at Illinois Bell as a Statistical Typist; once married, she became a wonderful wife and then mother to two great daughters, Linda and Carol. She and her husband, Tom, enjoyed many Mexico vacations, especially Puerta Vallarta. They loved the sun and water, which they continued to enjoy at Grass Lake in their parked camper with the screened-in porch near the private pond playing in the sand and swimming with their grandchildren. They gave us many rides in their boat going around the Chain of Lakes! She loved hanging with the Ladies Group in Glenview, laughing and playing, and enjoying meals together! She enjoyed singing in the church choir in Grayslake. She loved her cats, especially Cookie and Izzy, who gave her love and hugs!

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 19th, following a memorial visitation from 10 am to mass time at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake, Illinois 60097.

Linda, Carol Your hearts are heavy from your mother leaving this Earth, but be happy that she now is with your father, her husband, her true love. Both are in a place where they are young, healthy, happy, and are able to go anywhere they want. Especially when you two might be sad or down, you'll suddenly feel a warm hug. That's your parents letting you know that they are watching over you both. My thoughts are with your family and kids. Paul Zuraw Joplin, Mo.

Dear Linda & Carol, It's been a while but I have never forgotten your family. Your mom was a very sweet lady and I hope you can both find strength and comfort in all the beautiful memories you have of her. With love - Julie Bertolini-Murtaugh
