Obituary For Joan Lender
Joan Lender of Rockford passed away in her home on May 23, 2024. She was born to Stephen and Barbara Shulthers in Dixon, IL on September 16, 1960. She married Steven Lender, her high school sweetheart since 1977, and they finally reunited in 2011. She followed her passion for caring for others as a nurse from 1986 until She retired in 2018.
She is survived and memorialized by their children, Michael and Barbera Lender; as well as her sister Nita and Children Harland and Danny, and Jeanne and her children Emma and Bailey. Celebration of Life on June 8th, 2024 at the family home.

I'm so very sorry for the passing of your mom. Joanie was a pleasure to work with and I truly loved her laugh. I admired her strength while Steve was struggling with the end stage of his life. Joan was incredible while she endured her spine surgeries. Most of all I remember her talking about her love for her children . Peace and Prayers God will give you strength and endurance. Make your momma proud. I knew your mom for 30+ years. Peace to both of you. 💚
