I'm one of Tom Hunt's grandkids and have many fond memories with Mo from my childhood. Her kindness, compassion, and devotion to her family was evident in the toys she would gift us and our trips to museums around Rockford. She will definitely be missed by the Hunt family.

Dear Martha & All of Your Family - I am so very sorry about your sister, Maureen. I used to work with her mother-in-law, Josephine, in the Cafeteria at Rockford Memorial Hospital many years ago. Josephine thought the WORLD of Maureen and spoke very kindly of her and ALL of your family. Josephine & I had many conversations - she was so very kind. My sister, Margie, passed away this past February - Margie went to school with your brother, Mike. I read that Dennis Reece sent condolences (his mother, Bette, was a friend of my Mom - they were in bridge club together - small world) - please know that i think of you & your family fondly & you ALL have my deepest sympathy - WITH LOVE, Gloria (Furseth) Johnson & my husband, Reg

I am one of Tom Hunt's grandkids, and I remember Maureen, or Meemo as we affectionately called her, taking us to the rockford children's museum. Such fond memories in my youth with a kind soul.

I'm so very sorry to hear of the loss of Maureen. I worked with her at Nihans and then spent years as friends running into her at craft shows, Cranberry Fest and seeing her weekly at Loglis! I'm so very sad she is gone. My sincere thoughts and prayers to her boys who used to come visit me on Saturdays at Nihans to keep me entertained. <3 RIP my friend.

My heart goes out the Burke Family. Our families (the Reece's) were neighbors and friends throughout childhood on Custer Ave. Our parents and other neighbors would have steak fries in the backyard. Mike and Marty were my best friends growing up. Being the oldest and role model for six kids must have been a big responsibility. Even though I haven't seen her in years, I will always remember her. Maureen was a dear lady and I will not forget her. Dennis

Maureen was my Dad's cousin and she was loved so much. I would always look forward to seeing her at Schnucks and would wait to stand in her line just to talk to her. I know she's now with her son Tony, brother Mike, and my Aunt Rit. Prayers and love to her family at this time
