Obituary For Thomas Robert Hallberg
Thomas Robert Hallberg, 62, passed away on February 5, 2024. He was born on March 15,
1961 in Rockford. Tom was the son of Robert and Judy Hallberg.

Tom graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1979. He played many high school sports, track, basketball, and football. He excelled at football. Tom was a great linebacker and received a football scholarship at U of I.

Tom married Mary Elizabeth Hann. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 792. Tom spent his childhood summer years with his grandparents on Lake Kegonsa boating, fishing, and skiing. As an adult, he enjoyed many years in the winter with his family and friends having fun snowmobiling and ice fishing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Survivors include his son, Nicholas Robert Hallberg (Cassie Jennings), his parents Robert and Judy Hallberg , his sister Sue (Jack) Caldwell, grandchildren Maxwell Thomas Robert, Mila Kay,
Hayes Robert Allen Hallberg.

A service to celebrate Thomas’ life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15 th at Gasparini Funeral Home, 6825 Weaver Road, Rockford, Illinois. Visitation one hour before service.
